Mindspeed is a leading provider of access, edge and core silicon and systems software for switches, hubs, routers and other communications equipment. SONET / SDH / PDH / PHY Components
Mindspeed's family of integrated framers/PHYs are used in a wide variety
of datacom and telecom applications. Framers are integrated with ATM
PHYs which are also sometimes called Cell Delineator Blocks (CDB) or
Transmission Convergence (TC) blocks. These devices format data for
transmission and extract data for reception at various line speeds for
T/E lines and ATM.
Mindspeed's link layer controller software products give customers an
array of choices to implement various components of advanced network
subsystem software, ranging from integration with NetPlane protocol
stacks to providing building blocks for incorporating into customers'
platforms. The portable software products shorten the learning curve of
network technologies such as ATM and Resilient Packet Ring, and allow
customers to design and bring up systems with a minimal development time.

Mindspeed's SerDes transceivers, based on SkyRail™ technology, are
